The nights have turned cool here in Michigan.  Some of the leaves are already starting to turn and fall.  I canned pears this past week.  Now I am watching my impatiens and knowing they won't tolerate the cold.  Maybe next year I won't plant so many.  I am realizing I am going to loose most of my gardens color when they go.  I have some mums but not as many as I use to have.

This summer I have had a lot of problems with chipmunks digging up and eating my bulbs so next spring I may not have so many.  Seems like with all the sunflower seeds they have been eating from my bird feeders they could have left my bulbs alone!
