been stuck in the house for 2 weeks now because of this silly back. Start Physical Therapy next week. Yeah! Hope it helps. So I am boring and have no new news. Need to get my butterfly bush planted and dig up those potatoes! I keep forgetting them and then more plants come up. Hoping I have tons of potatoes in there! They are red potatoes. Not only do they taste yummy but they do not, unlike other potatoes, pull toxins from the ground and absorb them. Red potato that is grated and put on a skin infection will pull out the infection. I did this for a friend once and she had a red line starting up her leg. We put the poultice on a few times and the red line retreated and we sent her off to the doctor's and he drained a cup of infection from her foot and then it healed nicely. The potato pulled it all down and into one place.
That is your info treat for the day! Have a great weekend! ~Barbara
PS Started my new Weight Loss Blog. You should come and look at it. Hoping people will join in and add recipes and good ideas for weight loss. http://barbarasweightlossblog. wordpress.com
and put it in our daughter's room. It smells like sweet grapefruit. Forget the name. Deep purple/red. A kind friend gave me the rose tree. Couldn't believe it. Planted it right outside our daughter's window so she could have the nice fragrance come into her room. Love roses.
and there were no answers about my Fugi Apple Tree. I have branches dying right and left. Anyone have any ideas about what it going on with it? Have only gotten 5 apples this year but are they good. We really cut it back last year but it usually gives us hundreds of apples. Last year though, there were so many apples but they fell off early. HELP!
Aww the fragrance of the basil plant. I did buy a plant today at Trader Joe's and planted it in with my rosemary plant by the back door. Hoping it will last awhile. It is under the patio cover. If necessary, I will take all the leaves off and freeze them but love walking out there and smelling all the herbs. Now if my silly dog will just not unplant it! She make ah me crazy! I keep saying I am too old for a puppy but then she jumps up in my lap, puts her paws almost in my face, and then licks me and I loose all reason. She is my baby.
Have another new rosemary plant and want to scupt it into the shape of a tree and put it on the front porch and decorate it at Christmas with lights. Never liked rosemary until recently. We had rosemary chicken after church today. Yum. Guess this old dog can learn new tricks or tastes. The herbs are not supposed to carry over but mine have. The chive plants have been really doing well, even with the pup uprootilng them occasionally. I have 3 plants that I have had for 8-10 years. I love their flowers.
Hope you all had a good weekend. Sorry I haven't been on. Did a lot at my little lady's last week and did my back in so have been just resting. Am unemployed now so you should see me more. Have been offered another job. Will see how it goes. Still need help regarding my fugi tree. She has lots of dead branches. Will check out the forum this week.
Meant that I would have to talk to Bill Mitchell not Bill Smith about putting my pics on here the right way! Sorry Bill.
Thanks for all of your sweet comments. Yeah, and what is a house or home without a few toys. My dog loves toys and probably has way toooooo many. Ha! ~ Barbara
Took some pics today but can't get them to upload. Here are three. One from my kitchen window and one of my fireplace and of Bijiou, the crazy dog, and one of the lavender in the back yard.
Did not remove the drying fig on the window sill. Want to grow my own tree. Yum! I am usually so particular about photos in my house. Well, now you know I am not perfect! Ha! You can see my roses in front of the picket fence, the cane in front of the window and one of our mulberry trees. The elms are on the strip by the sidewalk. After the wind today there are almost no leaves left on one of the elms. :/ As you can see, we definitely live in the city but what you can't see is the low mountains right above this photo. It gets snow sometimes in winter.Have to add one more.
So far this is the best I can do for putting a picture on. Decided to copy this from my blog page and see if I could transfer it. At least now you will know who you are talking to until I can get pics on here.
About Colloidal Silver was staggering!!! Hold onto your socks especially if they are white cotton! ha!
The Silver liquid I have is called Silver Shield. It is now the champion of silvers. It is patented, EPA certified, FDA approved, written about even by General P.K. Carlton who is Director of Integrative Center for Homeland Security (2009) and says the US should stockpile ours!!! It kills viruses and bacterias like MRSA and other medicinal resistant strains of bacterias, molds (even black mold), staph,Candida, foot fungus (this is where you need the white cottom socks), SARS, and possibly Anthrax but that is being tested. It is so suspended in the liquid that it cannot build up in your system or under your skin. Only the salt based silver is toxic and ours is not salt based.
My brother-in-law was badly burned on his face, arms and legs - 2nd and 3rd degree burns - the hospital used silver bandages and he recovered in record time and he has no scars. It is what they put in newborns eyes to prevent disease and blindness. Yep, it works.
About making your own, I remember when people started doing that and it saved money. The only thing about that is that it may not be as stable or stay colloidal (suspended in liquid) and not sure how you can be sure if you are getting a pure source. For me, I don't want the mess or extra stuff to store in my little house. A bottle or the gel tube is easier for me and it is guaranteed pure. Since taking it and putting the gel on my foot (I put it on both) that had cellulitis - actually it was systemic several times, I have had no more episodes. The first time I should have been hospitalized but the ER would not admit me. The second time, I was in and out of the hospital 3 times and out of commision for a whole summer and they had to put a pic line into my heart which gave me a tiny blood clot which put me back in the hospital again. So got back on the natural wagon, took on my own health, and I see progress again.
Now if I can find a way to help my back, I can get into my gardening again and raise some yummy veggies.
Hope this answers some of your queries. Sorry this is so long. Just am so excited about the good news that can help so many people. If you are a real news junkie there is more on my blog about this.
Thank you one and all for your answers. The bush is only a few feet tall and does have a bud on it but cannot tell yet what color it is. Will try to plant it today in a sunny location as you suggested. We have butterflies migrate through here so if it brings even more around I will be so excited. Will let you know what the bud color is when it bursts forth.
Received an interesting blog from one of our Garden Guides and a point he made was about prebiotics. I know that good bacteria is ruined by antibiotics and that good bacteria keeps you balanced and healthy. But I have a lot to learn. Have also been learning about how to set the stage for the good guys to flourish. Well! What this person told me caused me to look around and I found this site. I am going to share it with you and the good foods that provide the right environment for good bacteria and in what foods they either can be found or where the prebiotics are to be found. Here goes.......................... ................

Let me know what you think. I like to get good feedback so I know how to put things on my health blog. Another two people from here gave me some feedback on earaches and I put it on my blog.
Bilberry Fruit Concentrate [Vital Nutrition]. Bilberry (Vaccinium
myrtillus) is also known in some parts of the U.S. as huckleberry.
During World War II, British pilots ate bilberries before their night flights to nutritionally support their vision.
Bilberry also supports the circulatory system.
Our
daughter was told that her vision would just get worse and worse. I
gave her this Bilberry Fruit Concentrate and her eyes improved so much
that the optometrist had to lower her prescription. She only took one bottle and it worked that well.
Sorry I have been gone for several days. With the flu season upon us have been working like crazy to get helpful info on my other blog. There is so much to research............
Am going to be starting a third blog for those of us who want to lose weight so we can support each other with ideas and encouragement. Will keep you posted.
Well, I found out some very interesting facts this last week about vitamin D. That adorable little vitamin does so much more than I thought! One thing I learned is that if you are deficient in D you are also deficient in A and if you are deficient in both you can have acne, soft bones and teeth, can't absorb calcium, and can't retain phosphorus in your kidneys. D is being purported to help prevent breast cancer and Diabetes. In the fish oil form and with Vitamin A from the same source, I have seen, in the last week, a person with acne go from a terrible breakout to already starting to heal. There is a huge difference! Vitamin D also helps maintain a stable nervous system and helps keep the heart beating at a normal rate. It is supposed to be a help to those with Arthritis, stress, Sciatica, helps muscles (leg cramps) and joints, Psoriasis, Osteoporosis, insomnia, jaundice, gastritis, gallstones, eye strain, fatigue, Emphysema, Eczema, Diabetes, Cystitis, Cystic Fibrosis, Constipation (sorry), Conjunctivitis, Liver diseases, Bruises, Burns, Bronchitis, and Asthma. And for anything that affects the need for vitamin A, you need D! Well, is that not the busiest of vitamins?
Those of you living in the South can get D from the sun most of the year. Those of us that live more north only get vitamin D for 6 months. My friends in Canada say the government as well as doctors push vitamin D on everyone up there. So don't wait until your good teeth are breaking in two or chipping or getting cavities to ask your doctor to do a test for D like I did. It is a tiny blood test and can save you a lot of health problems and MONEY!
Manganese is a trace mineral that has blown me away with facts this week too but will save that for another time. Want to get all of this on my other blog this week.
So stand up and stretch, drink some water, take your vitamins and go out and smile at the sun!!! You can pick some weeds while you are at it too. Have a great and healthy day!!! ~ Barbara
