Mama duck

We had a mama duck sitting on some eggs, and something got her, and the eggs. Hubby spotted a red fox the other night, so we are thinking that's what got her. I know it's just the chain of life, but I miss my little girl. She was such a good brooder for a Pekin duck, and now she's gone. We started with 7 ducks, and now are down to 3,

6 of them we icubated. :(

Need to go out and clean up the garden some more. Moving my little pond to the front garden instead of where it is. That way we ca enjoy it while sitting on the porch. Lots of digging to do!!!!!

Went out in the garden and cleaned things up. Need to trim my smoketree, and I had 2 trees given to me to plant. Nice to get out in the fresh air!!!!!!

Been visiting all week with my new granddaughter, Abigail Grace. My youngest son is a daddy now, and it is

 so amazing to see him with Abby. He always said he didn't want any kids, but he is the sweetest dad to her ,  He is going to be a stay-at-home daddy for awhile, and he has all these plans for her! It's wonderfuljust watching him interact with her.

Going out to cut the grass. Went to Lowe's and they had tomato plants and tulips for 50 cents!! (Tulips were all gone today, I knew I should have bought more yesterday!)

Also bought some perrenials. I am so ready for gardening!!!

Dylan and Austin came down for the weekend while their mom and dad went to Rumble on the Ridge.

The weather was decent, so we did some spring cleaning in the yard, and got my garden shed all cleaned out.

Something got my female duck, her neck is messed up pretty bad, but she seems to be doing ok right now.

I'm so ready for flowers in my yard and around my pond! My daffodils came up, along with tulips and some grape hyacinths.

dehydrated!!!

Went to the doctor yesterday due to some blood pressures issues and feeling faint. Once again I overdid it in the garden. Worked all weekend in the sun and got dehydrated. So I'm off work to rest and stay off my feet and rehydrate myself! I have to go for a stress test next week to make sure my heart is working like it should.

You would think I'd learn, wouldn't ya? I get so involved in my gardening I forget to drink water, so now I've got Gatorade and rest.
