Morning Glory Fun and death in the garden

Ok, so my father decided to put wire from the top of the trellis to the corner of the house.  My son took this picture so you don't see the house but I think you get the idea. 

Then there is death in the garden.....  A tangerine mama tomato plant that looked gorgeous and then one day it was done.  Very strange.

Then the rhubarb..... It had two remaing healthy leaves yesterday.  I guess it really isn't tolerating this heat.  I don't know what to do.  If I didn't know better I would say something was feasting on it just to make me mad.
