update on washer woes.
Well, son fixed washer. He had to change out the faucet hookups as one was leaking. Meantime I made a tunnel out off tinfoil to get the water to drip in my mop bucket. Must have been leaking awhile, the flooring is wet. So pulled the linoleum up, cleaned the area with bleach.Got a fan blowing on it.Then this evening we'll bring the washer back inside. Sat. Bobby is hooking a drainhose up to run into my flower garden. So I'll put coveralls on, get under the house with him & help.Goodnews, we've been getting rain. Couldn't get the grass cut, is up to my waist in places. But my Texas Star hibscus is blooming. It likes washer water, lol.Gathering my buckets up, catching wash water today.Busy day ahead. Everyone one have a blessed day!, Diane

Well, my washer uses 35 gallons for a large load. I entertain my dogs yesterday. After I filled my buckets up, I thought it would be a good idea to hook a garden hose to the sump pump hose my son has hooked to the back of the washer.Didn't have another clamp, so used a zip tie, it popped off & I got a cold shower.Thank goodness Bobby was at work, he would have fell out of his chair laughing.Still getting a hose to run out into my flowers when I buy the water pump. Stay cool everyone!
My washer started leaking, so got son to put it on the back porch.Hook up the cold water hose, run a drainhose as far as he could stretch it. Now I'm collecting the water in my buckets to water with. We think the waterpump is going out. Bobby can't fix it till friday. So I got a wall & floor to clean with bleach.I told him when it gets fixed, we are hooking up the drain hose to go in my flower garden.Dave's fig tree gets watered like that & it's huge.I've always wondered how many gallons of water goes in the septic tank with each load of clothes. We'll find out today. I told Bobby we'll going green, he rolled his eyes.
Ya'll have a blessed day, I got chores to do. Stay cool!
Still canning figs.Made fig preserves yesterday. Checked on Dave's flowers. Took a pic of his Texas Star Hibiscus. Then came home made a pic of my pitful one. Both were bought same day, I helped Dave plant his after Valinda's death. Mine gets sun, onlything I can think of, he must water more than I do. I put miracle grow for flowers around mine & it has buds now.His has bloomed so much it has seed pods. So now I water mine every other day.
My son's weedeater is down,so grass is getting high around my bushes.I have garden cloth & mulch around my bushes.Going to take a pot of catmint to the lady at the bread store. She lives near the plant man, so sending him a pot too. Hitting a few thrift stores also.
Tomorrow, I'll make another batch of fig jam.Been giving it away as fast as I get it made.Getting peaches & making a batch of peach jam this week.
I took the grands swimming at a friends house monday. She had never ate figs before. So took her fresh figs, plus 2 jars of fig jam. Kids got water lodge but had a ball. They wore this Nana out.
Well, everyone have a blessed day, take care, Dianeps, posted pics in my album.

Been wheeling & dealing with the plant man. I traded a game hen for a pot of day lillies.Gave him a young game rooster.Bought a pot of daylillies from him. Both of us are happy. We've had popup storms nearly every afternoon. Is a blessing, as I'm watering Dave's flowers too. Going to rake today & plant new finds. Happy gardening everyone.
