This is my first post here at GardenGuides.com. I'm just getting my feet wet here with this first post, but I hope I can contribute in many ways in the days to come.
I love gardening and growing my own vegetables. I like it so much that I recently started my own website about it.
In my next post, I will be adding some information and pictures about sterilizing potting soil. I couldn't believe the differences in soil that wasn't sterilized and soil that was. I have pictures to prove why you should be doing it yourself.
Watch for my next post to find out how I sterilize potting soil.
More about me:
I just bought my first compost barrel- I couldn't pass it up for $20. The material would have cost more than that to make it. I'll add pics of it as soon as I get some.
Here is how I'm starting my seeds this year, it's my first year for what I call my "germination box" So far it has served me well.
The picture was taken in early February so I didn't have much in it at the time, but since then I have started 45 plants in cells all at one time. 30-peppers and 15 tomatoes.
After they came up, I put them under my lights and started cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, and various flowers for my flower gardens.
