I put all the seedlings in the garden yesterday, all except for the tomatoes.  They are not ready to go in yet.  I made another seed tray too, with even more stuff in it.  In the seed tray is lettuce, canteloupe, cilantro, flowering cabbage, green onions, thyme, and spinach.  Made a little scarecrow with my son's clothes too.  It really is scary.  We also scraped off more grass behind the original garden to put in whatever is left over.  My friend Carey is sowing seeds too, so with hers and mine together we should have no problem filling up space.  She came over last week and dug out a trail through the tall grass to an area that we are going to use for compost.  Think we are going to make the trail wind around through the grass  a little more for the kids to play on. Gotta keep them occupied while we are laboring on our future food supply.  Soon enough they will be able to help pick stuff and look for hornworms on the tomatoes and other pests that we will have to deal with.
