Well, I think we are in for a cold snowy winter. Snowed on and off all day Sunday. The kids were all disappointed that they would miss it. They headed back to California on Friday. L Miss them terrible and spent Saturday pacing the house and asking hubby what he wanted to do. We were both lost without them all there.
We had a blast with them. We took them down to Crater of the Diamonds State Park and tried to find us a boulder of a diamond. No luck, but it was such a hoot telling stories and teasing each other that we had found “THE ONE”. We all went fly fishing in the rain. The trout were jumping all around us but none took a fly. Could have caught more in our waders the way they were jumping. Oh well…a day fishing is better than working.
Thanksgiving was spent cooking, eating and enjoying their company. I have to mark this one done as one of the best. They brought the Wii rock band with them, played for hours and it got so silly. Too much fun. Our Shannon can sing! Ryan was great on drums and we have some awesome axe jockeys too!
Too cold to do much of anything outside. Hubby is going to work on splitting some more wood this weekend. The woodstove has been going pretty much nonstop. I will get the Christmas stuff out and up this weekend too. So glad we had all the kids this past weekend here. Christmas is going to be very lonely this year. They are all going different ways this year. First time ever that Bill and I have been alone at Christmas. Hmmm…this could be fun.
