Greetings....Teri sent these to me, these were sent to her...but they are stunning. The person who took these has entered them in a photo contest...I think he's a winner!!
There are more in my album page look for 'Albino Hummer'
As usual...I couldn't help put a border around my winter pics...
The first is a Amaryllis I got for Christmas...it's begun to shoot up!
This is one of the plant shelves(from back to front)..Pelargonium, Holiday Cactus, Cyclamen and new Rununculus with mums. We have a longer shelf in front.
Ours was great, Teri accepted a position at Glen Canyon N.P., David proposed to Aurora (they'll wait until she gets her Masters Degree), I finally finished the dimensions on Teri's afghan (60" X 80") and we got 5 inches of rain over the weekend. My plants are very happy! Switched out the Pelargoniums for rununculus that are beginning to leaf up, on our front window shelf outside. It will be easier to pull weeds and the wood sorrel this week, I'm content.
It should be nice the rest of the week and not as cold, so Rick can finish his outdoor projects. That guy never stops. Hopefully after work and lunch I can pull some of that wood sorrel in front.
Wishing you all a good week (^_~)
P.S. I posted some pics of the afghan on my previous forum blog.
Tried to add a new calendar entry, twice, and nothing. So, I'll keep blogging instead.
Started some thyme cuttings in two flats, which will replace our grass in front with...it will take a year to spread and grids (cat deterrents)..luckily, they like the heat, their drought resistant, can be stepped on and mowed.
Plus, when I divide my bulbs, they'll be planted in the new garden bed too. We'll be getting another Crape Myrtle, which will make three in the front...same color.
Have a nice weekend, I'll be working in the front yard tomorrow, pruning my sage and taking cuttings of my pelargoniums (-_^)
Wed. nite Teri called and asked if she could stop by....having only seen her on Christmas day, of course the answer was YES! But that meant her two ("60 lb") puppies would be our guests too. Not sure how many of you knew we recently made our house 'dog' free....but we made an accept-ion for Teri and the dogs were tired of being in the car and just dog tired, lol.
Teri was on her way back from visiting her guy friend in Page, AZ. He just accepted a position at the nearby NP...I keep forgetting the name, but Page is his hometown.
It was a great visit, here is a pic of Teri and our grand pups...Isabella (black) and Skokie (tan). Teri works for the National Park Service at Olympic National Park...in Washington State.
In all fairness...here's my newest grand pup, a sweet little beagle named Nomar. He is now part of Aurora's family.
