Rick is all done with our walkway and just in time before our next rainfall...would you believe it...we're suppose to get flurries!! Which will melt on contact, lol (^_^)

After it warms up a little more I will put in small ground cover between the paves and boarder...I would like to get portulaca to grow there eventually.

Who knew!  I got 2nd place in this months photo contest....I loved the theme and immediately thought of our clematis and the one time my white and his purple bloomed the way they did. 

All the entries were fabulous and so fitting.  Wish I could sip a lemonade in our first place winner's entry.  Congrats to you, Memom!!

For two reasons ~ First, our front faces the west and it takes too much water to keep the grass nice. 

Second, we'll be phasing out the grass for a groundcover that is more tolerant to our harsh summers. 

Did I mention I get more garden space (~_^)

Our biggest concern, the tree roots

He just loves being outside working on projects...still waiting for our bathrooms to get painted after 14 yrs, LOL

After a long week of 'indoor' lunch 'n recess...what came in the mail but Yellow Datura Seeds!!!  

I'm off all week and plan to get dirty,   plant my seeds,  head over to Lowes for some annuals and a trellis for my cactus.

Spring has Sprung  (^_^)

Koo...it's rained all week...steady but not hard...our hills and lawns are loving it.  The evergreen clematis is ready to burst into bloom!  I'm excited, every year there are more buds (^_^)

 Of course the kids at school are not liking indoor recess...they got a break yesterday...but not today...it will be a little loud in a hour or so.  I feel for the teachers...glad we can give them a well deserved lunch break

Glad to hear Spring is popping up there for some of you...hope it comes soon for the rest!
