Just wanted to post a pic of my trellis with the Picote Blue Morning Glories growing on it. There has been a LOT of growth lately, but still no sign of flowers, which is a little odd to me, since I had that small one right off the bat, and since my Star of Yeltas are blooming like mad. If you remember from a past blog, I was confused to see a single bloom that looked like a minature Heavenly Blue Morning Glory, when thats NOT what these are supposed to look like, so maybe I did have one seed mixed in there.....again, time will tell, but for now, the Oil Rig looks cool just like this:
I had a little time to kill so I thought I would post some current photos of the yard. Hope you enjoy.
This first one is an early bloom on my Picote Blue Morning Glory. I am a little distraught though, as it doesnt look at all like the seed packet said. I have other morning glories around the yard, but I am pretty sure I only planted the Picote Blue by the "oil rig" -- Here is the pic, and the pic of the seed pack:
And the pack.....
Clearly a difference. The flower in my actual picture, is small...about as big as a 50 cent piece. Its the color
of the Heavenly blue I grew last year, but those blooms were as big as a baseball, and didnt show till late summer
so only time will tell.
Here is a pic of some Caladiums coming up around the patio area in the back...
Next, a pic of one of the concrete bowls I made, with some Sedum, a Vinca, and some other ground cover.....I LOVE how it turned out. Oh, and Zuma in the background.
Here is the back yard area where we hang out.
A few more concrete goodies that I made, hanging out in one of the garden beds.
Those clearance liliies that I got at lowes for $1 two years ago
And, perhaps the most exciting clearance find of the year if I can save it. A Crimson Mandevilla for $2.50....Time will tell.
Here is another similar Bowl Garden I made for a friend....
And finally, a picture of the finished Grilling Headquarters....I need a better pic as all the flowers are blooming in the back now, and it looks better when all the pavers are dry.
There you have it....hope you enjoyed the tour. Have a nice day.
