I somehow managed to stay busy all day, without actually getting anything accomplished.
I didn't get much of anything that I planned to do in the gardens done today, mainly the mowing. It was really hot and humid, and after my "Go-Go-Go!" weekend I didn't feel like doing anything. I dug up some of the baby tansey to send back with my father-in-law to give to MIL, and watered since we haven't had any rain for a while. We do have a chance of it this evening and tonight, so I'm hoping my watering will guarantee that it will rain :) I also spent some time collecting seeds from the Johnny Jump-Ups, the various types of Blue-eyed Grass, and the Lyre-Leaved Sage. I got LOTS of seeds from the sage, hint hint...
I noticed that my nasturtiums are getting flower buds, woohoo! and my garden phlox is really blooming- I have to try and get pictures of it. My Butterfly Weed is also growing buds! The nesting the dove has gotten used to me so she doesn't fly off everytime I go near the Wisteria garden, which was why I finally able to collect seeds from the sage.
Went down to the pond for a whopping 1/2 hour of bass fishing- wanted to fish longer but Megan was in super-whiney mood today so I had to cut it short. I think she's tired from the weekend too ;)

I've been quite the busy little bee today! I relocated my Elephant Ears to in front of my old Dining Room window. They'll get much more shade there so should be much happier. I also relocated the one Brugmansia to a sunnier spot- the new shoots grew to about 3 inches, then stopped, I'm guessing because it was too shady. I'll see how it does in it's new spot.
I planted the Cardinal Flower near the AC condensation drain pipe so it will get constant moisture in the summer, and be partially shaded from the hot afternoon sun by the wisteria. The Butterfly Weed I planted in the front bed. I planted it "high" and didn't mulch near it. I'm hoping that it will be able to stay on the well-drained dry side that it likes. Only time will tell I suppose...
I then dug up my Foxtail Lily bulbs and the Gloriosa Lily tuber since they haven't done anything since I planted them there earlier this spring. There's more details on this in the Bulb and Tuber thread. I potted them in a mixture of mostly compost and some potting soil in old plastic coffee cans, then set them outside my french doors in full sun. Hopefully with the soil being better drained and warmer they'll actually start to grow!
