Moon Flowers are growing!

I went to my balcony today and there are three moon flowers that are growing! I hope they are ok tonight becuase I heard Massachusetts is suppose to get in the 40's and 60's tonight and tomorrow. It's not frost so they should be ok. I will post pictures this weekend if I can but this is so exciting! 

Lavender starting to bud...I am soooo excited!

I went out to my balcony this morning to water my lavender and moon flowers and in one of the pots that my lavender is planted in I saw a small green bud! It is so exciting that I am starting to see results...I will keep you updated.

I was in the store and I saw some moon flower seeds and I saw what they grow into and they are beautiful! I planted those this afternoon and lets hope for the best!

I have decided to plant irises instead of roses on my balcony. I have read that they would do better and are easier to care for. My lavender have not emerged yet but I was told it could take a few more weeks. I am excited!

I have never planted flowers or anything before but I have recently moved into an apartment with a balcony and I have always wanted to plant lavender and roses. Last week I got some lavender seeds in two pots that I filled with soil. I hope they grow ok, I was told it takes about 4-6 weeks. I have been watering them almost everyday but trying not to drown them. I heard roses are not the best to plant on balconies in pots so I might rethink the roses and plan something else.
