Surprise!

As I was examining my newest edition (the shade garden) I was delighted to find new sweet potato ivy! I vaguely remember finding a bulb (err, potato?) from last year and promptly digging a hole and planting it. I presumed it would not come back as I have always been informed sweet potato ivy was an annual! The fact that I had placed this bulb there completely slipped my mind as I was planning and planting my shade garden. Thankfully, it should prove to be a melodious combination of foliage! Another unexpected joy of gardening!
