I enjoyed the peaceful evening outdoors planting my tomatoes. I do not have a veggie garden so I planted four in individual containers. My husband will clear out a place in our backyard for the other two. I am looking forward to their performance and have high hopes of my own homegrown treats.
My husband enjoyed our pink mandavilla immensely last year therefore, I planted two of the tropical vines (a white and a pink) to climb my trellis. It was pure bliss immersing my hands in the dirt and feeling as though I was accomplishing something fruitful for our garden.
The night was gentle and serene. My mind wondered and I indulged a splendid habit of mine. Dreaming. I began designing my garden in my mind. I will pull the landscape timbers down and thanks to a tip from a new found friend, purchase an edger. I would like to fashion a path from my front yard to the back. I have the arch my husband and I were married under four years ago that will grace my garden gate. I have already planted coral vine (a.k.a. queen's wreath) to scale the heights of our chain link fence. To disguise our air conditioning unit I am considering a white trellis and jasmine. We have a fig tree purchased when our daughter was born that would love to take up residence in the new area my path will create. Thankfully my husband is eager to furnish the strength and means needed to complete this wondrous task. Much work to be done but oh the unalloyed blessedness it will set forth both in the journey and completion.
